Attention 8th grade students: Apply to attend YouthPower Energy Camp.
Ohio Rural Electric Cooperatives, Inc. is presenting a new program designed for eighth grade students. South Central
Power will sponsor one student to participate in the YouthPower Energy Camp.
The one day experience is designed to demonstrate how electricity is produced and the challenges facing a world
with increasing demand for energy. Team leaders will walk students through various exercises to help them understand the
scope of the world’s growing energy demand and the challenge of clean energy development.
When and Where?
The camp’s highlight will be a trip to the Cardinal plant. The coal-fired generating station for all of Ohio’s electric
Cooperatives is located in Brilliant, OH. YouthPower Energy Camp is held in late June.
