South Central Power Company’s members in central Ohio will soon receive service from a new facility under construction in the Rock Mill Industrial Park near the intersection of U.S. 33 and Hwy 188. The address of the new facility is at 720 Mill Park Drive, Lancaster, 43130, located west of downtown Lancaster.
The new facility replaces aging offices, some of which date to the 1950s, in Lancaster, Canal Winchester, and Circleville and will house all of South Central’s central Ohio employees, materials, and equipment under one roof. The new facility will have adequate space for the cooperative’s growing fleet of line trucks, as well as material and equipment needed to serve members across central Ohio.
Employees from the existing Circleville, Lancaster, and Canal Winchester locations will relocate to the new facility. Built by Ohio-based construction firm Corna Kokosing, the facility will open Dec. 13. The facility lobby will be open to members to make payments and receive walk-in service Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and will feature a night drop box for after-hours payments. At 5 p.m. on Dec. 10, remaining central Ohio office payment locations in Lancaster and Circleville as well as the night drop box in Canal Winchester will permanently close and will no longer accept member payments. The offices in Barnesville and Hillsboro will remain open at their current locations.
