Hard work and being a lineman go hand in hand. It’s true whether you play high school football, or spend your days building utility lines and restoring power. To show our support of all kinds of linemen, South Central Power put the spotlight on some of the best linemen across Ohio, on and off the field.
Each week this fall, in different communities we serve, South Central featured two “Linemen of the Week,” including a South Central line worker and a local football player. The spotlight included photos and brief Q&As with both linemen, highlighting their backgrounds and what helps them to be successful in their roles. Each week, we highlighted them on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn and used the hashtag #lineman2lineman.
Each of the schools with featured players were eligible to win a $1,000 donation for their Athletic department. The votes are in, and Teays Valley High School is the winner of the donation! Congratulations, and thanks to all the student athletes and South Central Power line workers who participated in 2019!
