Job Description

South Central Power Company, Ohio’s largest electric cooperative, is seeking an individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis to support business decisions related to the cooperative and related entities.  This includes financial forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and related research for financial planning of the cooperative. Also will be expected to assist with continuous improvement to improve the processes impacting the department.

We are looking for an individual experienced in the development of KPI’s and performing business case analysis and evaluation of new projects and/or business opportunities. They should be a self-starter, organized, detail oriented and able to effectively communicate with all departments to carry out objectives and solve problems. This position will report to the Director of Finance and work out of the Lancaster office.

Job Related Qualifications

What the job requires…

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years’ of relevant experience.
  • Highly self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
